Give Thanks

We have so much to be thankful for: our health, home, food, employment, good friends, and most importantly, our family. We feel very fortunate to have been able to spend the week of Thanksgiving at the Jacobson's house in Mesa, Arizona. The Wimmers were there, too, which made the party even more fun! We went up to Tom's project in Payson for Thanksgiving dinner at the country club, which gave me something else to be thankful for--no Thanksgiving dishes! It really was the perfect little vacation. Thanks, Tom and Wendy! On Saturday night, we went to see the lights at the Mesa temple. We had a great time walking around and enjoying the spirit of the temple. It was a great way to start off the Christmas season. It was especially nice to be there and remember that this was where my parents were married almost fifty years ago.
The kids all thought the Jacobsons golf cart was the best thing ever. They had a great time taking it for rides around the neighborhood. The only problem is, if you happen to have 2 1/2 year old, chances are pretty good she will fall off and get a pretty severe road rash when the twelve year old driver hits a speed bump. One of these days, someone is going to call Child Protective Services on us.

The kids loved the fact that they could choose whatever they wanted at the buffet.

What a great bunch of kids! It makes me so happy to see my kids having so much fun with their cousins.

Done, I already called CPS for you. Poor Caroline. This is what happens in cool families though. Happy Thanksgiving!
