Poised and ready to go! The girls were awake for over an hour before we finally went down and started opening presents. I used to complain so much when my mom made us wait to have our hair done and teeth brushed before opening presents, but it seems (at least in this regard) that I am becoming my mother. Actually, I kind of liked being made to wait--it just added to the anticipation and excitement. Not to mention, we get good hair for pictures out of the deal!

Allison with her i-touch. This was the one and only thing she wanted for Christmas, and Bret tried to trick her by hiding it in the tree and making her wait until it seemed everything had been opened.

Sydney with her loot. She got a swimming baby for the second year in a row--let's just hope this one can actually swim!

Emily displaying everything she wished for. . .and then some! It took her about 24 hours to figure out that the i-pod we gave her was actually Allison's old (but hardly used) one. Since Bret always saves all the packaging, we wrapped it up in its original box and gave it to her. She didn't seem to mind, though, and she uses it far more than Allison ever did.

Caroline withher new baby and her gum. This little girl was pretty easy to please, as you can see by the smile on her face. Gum and a candy cane were all she asked Santa for, so the new doll was just icing on the cake!
