Allison's 12th birthday

Allison had the good fortune of having her 12th birthday coincide with Yom Kippur this year. Since there are a lot of Jewish people in our area, all of the Jewish holidays are "board holidays" at school. We had first planned to go to Disneyland for the day, but decided at the last minute to send Allison to Utah for the weekend. She was able to attend several homecoming events honoring her Grandpa Lee and even got to ride in the BYU homecoming parade. She had so much fun and was very spoiled by grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins. The only problem was, she didn't want to come home when the weekend was over!

We went to the Santa Monica Pier on the way to the airport. The girls had a great time in the arcade and the high class gift shops. They also liked watching the fishermen at the end of the pier, and had fun people watching!
