Cupcakes!

Santa brought Emily a cupcake decorating kit this year. The Saturday after we got home from Utah, we broke it out and made several dozen mini cupcakes. Decorating them provided hours of entertainment for all four girls (and a few catfights over who's turn it was to use the piping tool). It was a mess, but the cupcakes were yummy, and making them was a lot of fun!

Caroline just licks off the frosting and moves on to the next cupcake. Eating the actual cupcake is really not worth her time, since the frosting has a much higher concentration of sugar than the cake.

Emily's finished masterpieces

It was so fun to catch up on your family through your blog! I can't believe how big your girls are. Allison is in young women's now... that is crazy. They are all so beautiful! It is funny that you left a comment on my blog yesterday, because just yesterday I was talking to Kathryn and she mentioned you. I told her I was feeling robbed that we don't make your Christmas card list anymore. I am so jealous that you live in sunny California-- especially this time of year here in the arctic!

Those cupcakes look like lots of fun! I enjoyed looking through all the pictures...I can't believe how many people asked me growing up if my two brothers were twins...it happened all the time!!!

Thanks for updating your blog, I loved the wedding pictures. Now I feel like I was there. Your girls looked beautiful of course. As for the cupcake making, thanks to your family my kids think they should be allowed to cook. Thanks a lot. It makes a lot more mess, and takes a lot more time. Those Paulson girls are always causing trouble.

Oh that is so cute. I am not going to lie though, I hope that they don't expect me to make cupcakes with them because I am pretty stressed out about just trying to keep my Tasmanian devil out of your pool...I know there is a fence, but he has outwitted more complicated things. So, I am excited to come this week but only a little bit nervous. Fortunately, I know how responsible and helpful your girls are.

Stephanie.... how did I not know you had a blog? You have such a beautiful family. I can't believe how grown up Allison is.
Decorating cupcakes is a big favorite at our house too!
