About a year ago, we signed up for e-mail notification for tickets to attend tapings of various shows. Allison and I went to see "Are You Smarter Than a Fifth Grader" last summer, and we have received several other offers that we couldn't attend. When the American Idol tickets came through, though, we knew we couldn't pass this up. Allison has been a die hard fan of the show every season, and since I wasn't really in to it this season, I told Bret to take her and a couple of friends. They had SO much fun! Not only did they get to leave school early, but they got to compete in a TV Guide American Idol trivia show while they waited in line, they ended up on the front row in the pit, they were on TV several times, and Allison even reached up and touched Adam's earring (gross!) when he came over and sang by them. After the show, traffic was pretty bad, so they went to dinner at The Cheesecake Factory. Finally, they came back to our house to watch the TiVoed version of the show so they could scream and giggle every time they saw themselves. That is one awesome dad! How fun for Allison. I was disappointed with American Idol, I wanted Allison to win!
Wow...so much fun! How do you get on the list to get tickets? Hopefully Allison saved the tivo so we can all watch it!
How fun. Show tapings are really cool, even if you aren't necessarily a fan of the show. Allison is such a little wit, I love it.
That sounds like so much fun! I can't wait to see you guys in a couple weeks! Is Allison coming to Utah for dance camp before then? Tell her to call me, and I'll come watch! :)
I love days like that, the ones that are so good you want to relive them over and over. Kind of like girl trip, why can't it always be girl trip, everyday!
