We love going to Wayne's family's ranch in Atlanta, Idaho each summer! It is quite a trek: 12 hours from our house to Salt Lake, then four more hours up through Idaho, and a final, very long couple of hours on dusty unpaved roads. The payoff? This unbelievably beautiful, secluded setting with a house that can accomodate 44 loud, boisterous Lees! Well, maybe 42 loud folks. My mom and Wayne are usually pretty well behaved. The cousins love the unlimited play time, and the adults love to talk, laugh, eat, and stay up late catching up and remembering the good old days!

Caroline loves her Nana!

Emily and Luke hanging out together. What else is new?

pinata candy frenzy

grandkids. . .all 28 of them!!!

Allison and Madeleine did a cheer camp for all of the little girls. They worked with them all day and taught them stunts and cheers, and then put on a performance that evening. It was fun for everyone!

Emily at the "jumping rock." The water was 50 degrees--a bit of a shocker upon entry! The kids loved it though, and it became a real badge of courage to have jumped in, and survived!

Bret, Brett Wimmer, Tom Lee, Tom Jacobson and Jake Lee hiked to the top of Graylock on the last full day we were at the ranch. They left just before sunrise, and were gone for about six hours. It was a tough hike, but the view from the top was unbelievable. We all knew Tom Lee would make it to the "big summit," or die trying, after Wayne informed him that the year before, they only made it to the "little summit!"

Victory!
